I met John in SF this past Friday where he and his partner were hosting a thank you dinner for their clients. I'll post next week on the wide variety of items I managed to consume/inhale ...but here's what i did when I wasn't eating!
I could delight you with the gruesome details of our hotel, which is slated for tear-down to make room for a new hospital this fall. Suffice it to see that there were many permanently delayed cleaning and maintenance issues and a lack of security. OK, onto the fun stuff:
Highlight of the trip - the Richard Avedon and Georgia O'Keefe/Ansel Adams exhibits at the SF Museum of Modern Art.
And their new rooftop sculpture garden...I've always thought turtles looked very human!
And a Robert Rauschenberg mixed media piece
Another shot of the man turtles
great museum shop...
Another shop shot ...lots of bright limes and magentas and oranges
Concert in Yerba Buena Park after the museum and before wandering around Union Square....
Park flowers
dry cleaner window featuring Lucy :)
A mural on a hardware store facade
SF is very busy on a Saturday afternoon and people look at you strangely when you take photos of yourself in a mirror in the CB2 store!
Love this Marimeko duvet
Could be scrapbook paper
Those are my very comfy new tevas in the upper left hand corner:)
Society for the Blind - look at the braille on the building. They had a poster that said..."The Blind Leading The Blind." Very cool!
I also managed to spend over an hour in the Dick Blick store on Van Ness but I have no photos...I think I was in some sort of deep, deep trance!
More later....
Be Creative,
Michele
