Here's a snap of my Winter-themed ATC for the California Art Girls group I'm in. They were nice enough to let me join even though I'm on the other side of the hill! For this ATC I used hambly transparency paper, Cosmo Cricket, Ranger Ink, Making Memories Scrapbook Glaze, Hero Arts Flower, Heidi Swapp Rhinestone and misc. ribbon. Oh and the font is CK Serendipity. I got the idea for the icicles from a book that Silvia at Scrapbooks Atelier designed.
Here's a sneak peek at my Valentine's ATC for my Mail Art group. The heart shape is from Quickutz. The paper is Basic Grey's Blush collection. I used Fruit Punch Stickles, versa Color Old Rose and Pine Cone inks and the "fortune" is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp. The original plan was the Quickutz frame on background paper ---- but nooooo - I had to keep layering! They're done now, and ready to mail!
I made ten of these tags for my Art In the Mail group. They represent my New Year's resolution to do something creative everyday! That doesn't mean I have to draw or paint or scrap necessarily - it could be taking photos with my new camera, updating my blog, cruising other artist's blogs and sites - but no matter what, I have to do something creative everyday! BTW, today's small victory was uploading photos into the Mac from the new camera - didn't even need to load software - the camera and computer communicated instantly. What was I so worried about?
A few years back, after taking a class with shimelle at CKC, I signed up for her on-line mail art class. Some of us decided to stay together and participate in our own little mail art group. Players have come and go but thanks to our fearless leader, Rachel, the group is still going. One of the keys to our success is flexibility - for example, this month all of us are busy catching up on past projects. Today, in the mail, I received a bountiful package from Kristina - catching up on five projects - past/current/ and future - what a delight! Thanks Kristina!
