See the photo of my artwork in the right hand corner of this page under Art Adventures? Three red tule roses? Created by me in March 2010 at Artfest in Marion and Tracy Huskamp's class.( BTW, it was not the class project - it was something totally different). A local artist grabbed the photo - or a photo of the piece taken by someone else in the class - and posted it as her own work on FB. I still have the artwork - and am 100% sure the photo she posted is the same piece.I don't know if she intentionally ripped me off or found the photo on someone else's blog - which would be an odd coincidence. I'm just angry and disappointed that somone I know and respected would do this. How do we protect oursleves from fellow artists? Thoughts?

That's awful! I really don't understand why people feel that it is okay to do this.
I was talking about this at Artfest with fellow attending while we were checking out the show&tell stuff, while watching everyone take pics.
It's hard to know what to do. So sorry this happened to you.
